Way back in the fall of 2015, my good friend Stefan Korfmacher and I went around Washington Grove park in Brighton, NY to explore the area and check out some of the beautiful graffiti art being done around the water holding tanks. All the pictures below were taken by me.

To kick off homecoming celebrations for the 2015-2016 school year at BHS, A pep rally showcasing each class' efforts ans skills at a variety of events from dance competitions, to short skits and so much more. The night was loud and crazy, but unforgettable as a great start to the new school year.
In the summer of 2015, my mom and I went to one of our local libraries to do a StoryCorps interview about her immigration to the United States. For about 45 minutes, she and I went through her entire journey of immigrating to the United States, from the expectations she had of this new country beforehand, the moment of arrival at the airport by her then-husband, and of course the experience once she arrived in the United States. It was a lot of fun and I hope to someday be able to do something similar again. The StoryCorps Project was sponsored by the StoryCorps @ Your Library Project. Our full interview is preserved in the Library of Congress. Here is the link to a portion of the 45 minute-long interview: democratandchronicle.com
Last summer my family decided to go to Bar Harbor for a small vacation and business trip all wrapped into one. We had a wonderful time, and I got to experiment taking a variety of cool shots while I was there. Enjoy!
Every year, the vocal groups at our school put on a variety of free, and paid performances throughout the year. After filming Pitch Black as part of my student videographer job for BCSD, I enjoyed it so much decided to come back for the second performance the following evening to take photos. Here are a few of the photos that I shot with Athan Marzen. For more photos, visit the Friends of the Arts in Brighton's Facebook page: facebook.com/FAB
Some of my photos that I shot for the Friends of the Arts in Brighton showcasing art in the Brighton area were published both on the school district website, link here, and in the local paper for each of the three parts. Here's the link to the Dance Day article. The Art days showcased music, dance, and visual art. Check out my other posts for more photos from each of the three events. Some of the photos featured in the dance day article were taken by Athan Marzen. The document featured below is from Brighton Connections, which featured my work. Here is a clipping of the front page from the Arts at the Market featured story from the Brighton-Pittsford Post: During the Fall of 2015, our school put on the Shakespeare play, The Tempest. For my Video Communications class, my good friend Athan Marzen and I created a 30 second long commercial to be played on our school's morning show to advertise the show. Posted to Youtube: Published on Oct 19th, 2015 A project for the advanced video course: TV Production and Digital Communication, I created with my good friend, Athan Marzen, a sequence of shots each representing a different letter of the alphabet. Posted to Youtube: Feb 15, 2016 As another Video Communications project, we had to create a video post card for the foreign exchange students that come to our school every year. I did mine, with a little help of Kemori Spence on our school's snackline. Take a look! Posted to Youtube: Jan 20, 2016 For my Video Communications class in 2015-2016, I had to use a green screen to learn how to ultrakey in Adobe Premiere. To say the least, I'm not the best at it, though the green screen wasn't stellar either. But regardless with my friend, Kyla Farrell, I created a fun little opening. Also, this is a parody, not a cover. Posted to Youtube: Jan 20th, 2016 |
