My first shot at using After Effects... Not a bad result! I created this for the first day of school in my junior year, 2015. I did reupload the video to Youtube at a later date. The following opening is presented to you in 4k. C'mon, guys. Seriously, if your internet can handle it, please watch it in 4k for my sake. This thing took 2 hours to export for that 41 seconds of 4k goodness. I did it for you, fellow internet user. Enjoy this video to the fullest. (in 4k) ;)

Again, with my friends Simon and Eleanor Lenoe, we embarked on an incredible journey to take our best shot at a video for Ham Jam; our school's talent show. It didn't win, but it still was a blast to shoot and edit. Posted to Youtube: March 25th, 2015 Also one of my first videos ever made, and technically uploaded before my CSI opening, this was a video I decided to make one night, around 10pm on a Friday night. Found the random stock footage on the internet and stuck it together to make another opening. Enjoy! Posted to Youtube: February 4th, 2015 For the final day of Arts at the Market, Visual Arts done by both students from Brighton High School and local artists from around the community were displayed. All kinds of art were showcased, from charcoal drawing, to knitting, to watercolors, and so much more! But by far the best part of this final edition of Arts at the Market was the ability for shoppers directly from the farmers market to participate in several large-scale projects happening over the course of the day; including opportunities for people to contribute to a giant sidewalk chalk exhibit or better yet, add their own piece of artwork to a high school art teacher's car! (courtesy of Mrs. Katie Maley) Once again, I did this photo shoot with my good friend Athan Marzen, though the photos listed below were all taken by me. Here's the first opening I even made with my good friend, Simon Lenoe. Slaving away for about 10 hours in total, we got it done in two days. Pretty good for just starting to learn how to video edit. Uploaded to Youtube: February 10th, 2015 This was the second in the three-part series showcasing a variety of forms of art by Friends of the Arts in Brighton (FAB). It was also much warmer, which was a huge plus. I did this photo shoot with my good friend Athan Marzen, though the photos listed below were all taken by me. To showcase all types of art in the Brighton community as well as in the school district, a local group known as the Friends of the Arts in Brighton (FAB for short) worked with the high school and with the local farmers market to put on a series of art days at the market for the community to enjoy and sometimes also participate. The first in the series was showcasing music. Although it was quite rainy that day, the spirits of the musicians who performed was not dampened in the least. Here are a few of the photos I took for FAB's Facebook page. There was also a cake cutting ceremony to honor the 6th straight year that Brighton Schools has been named by NAMM as one of the best communities for music education. I had a long February break to kill. So, instead of turning to the internet for another hour of soul-sucking entertainment, I decided to make some bookmarks! (This seems to be the only kind of non-digital art I can handle). There seems to be a problem with highlighter picking up under the scanner, but the light outer ring of the Pacman-like circle in the first bookmark is a florescent yellow color in real life. Well, here you go! Enjoy! :)
Hi!
Welcome to my newly created blog! As you might have already noticed by the quick snippet on the right sidebar, this blog is dedicated to cool and interesting creative projects and events that I have taken part in. It will include all kinds of things, from videos I have made, to photos I have taken in a variety of contexts, as well as sporadic additions of other forms of "art" such as bookmarks I have created, and much, much more. I am going to intentionally keep my definition of what a "creative project" is quite broad, in order to encompass all kinds of things that I have been involved in. Since I start this blog today, there is a very good chance that I will omit things I have done before today, so please remember that it is nearly impossible to get a comprehensive idea of what I do solely by what is located on this blog. Having said that, this is a great place to keep up with what I'm up to and I hope you enjoy seeing my projects as much as I have enjoyed taking part in them. It's going to be an interesting experiment! Let's see how this turns out. :) With love, --Ian S. P.S. As a housekeeping note, I will try to classify my blog into categories such as photos and videos in order to maintain some amount of sanity in my slightly OCD/perfectionist brain. Although, you might find it to be a useful feature as well. (See the Right sidebar for all the current categories) |
What is this...blog?Here, you'll find everything from videos I've made, to photos I've taken, to random art, to just completely random stuff related to me and much, much more! Have fun! Also, this will be updated sporadically, so be patient or bug me to make new stuff. Either way. ;-) Archives
